What can be customized?
Depending on the product and order, a programme may include changes to yarn, colour mix, pile and density, backing, roll dimensions, labels, roll marks, and packaging. Not every combination is practical, and custom materials may change minimum quantities, cost, or timing. We confirm feasibility after reviewing the complete request.
OEM, ODM, and private label are not the same job
- Private label: an existing suitable product is sold under your brand with agreed labels or packaging.
- OEM: the product is made to a specification, reference sample, or construction that you provide and approve.
- Product development: the construction is adjusted to meet a new appearance, application, price position, or market requirement.
Private label is usually the simpler starting point. A deeper custom project makes sense when the difference is commercially valuable and the expected volume supports the extra approval work.
Our private-label workflow
- Brief. Define the market, application, target customer, price position, expected quantity, and launch timing.
- Product selection. Review an existing option, a reference sample, or a proposed new specification.
- Sample and data approval. Confirm what the sample represents and record the agreed technical details.
- Artwork approval. Check product names, label dimensions, colours, barcodes, marks, and packaging text.
- Production and inspection. Use the approved sample, specification, and artwork as the order reference.
- Shipment and reorder record. Keep the final data, packing instruction, and approvals for the next order.
Information to prepare before asking for a sample
- where and how the turf will be used;
- country and target customer;
- existing product data sheet or physical reference sample;
- required roll size and packaging format;
- brand assets and label languages;
- test, certificate, or legal labelling requirements;
- forecast quantity and launch date.
Claims printed on a label should match evidence for the exact product. Avoid copying warranty, safety, environmental, or performance language from another supplier’s brochure without verifying that it applies.
How to reduce custom-order risk
Freeze the product specification and artwork before production. Give each revision a date or version number. Approve colours under agreed viewing conditions, and distinguish visual approval from technical approval. For repeat orders, refer to the retained standard and note any accepted change in writing.
